Not a bad story, but,... the hero was kindof a "Gary Stu" in a "dead pool" way - The hero was sarcastic all of the time and rarely did anything wrong. He was also able to counter insurmountable odds because his special ability made his other natural abilities supernatural.
It was still entertaining, but I'm not interested in a sequel.

The Sword of Ages The Mage Breaker Book 1 eBook AL Issett Reviews

Very little story or character development.
This book does not end at a cliffhanger. You do know that this is not the end of the story. The book is straight forward. It is also quick. It only took me about two and a half hours to read it. I will be reading the next book for I want to know what happens next.
The story line is good, the problem I have with the book, which made reading it difficult, was the grammar and punctuation! It appears that the book was either not proof read, or the proof reader missed mistakes in almost every paragraph! I would love to find out what happens next but not if I have to read through the hot mess the grammar was with this book! I understand all books have some errors in them as proof reading is an imperfect task, but this was just ridiculous!
I liked the story. Looking forward to more. It was a quick read, had some typos but that didn't distract from the story.
A good story but bad grammar, terrible spelling, and having to guess what was meant by the mish mash of bad sentence structure and words that obviously did not belong made it a difficult read. Spell check and a proper edit would have been a great improvement.
Like the story the twist and turns iike a good story looking forword to book 2 and more of the good turns in his life and the ending .
Enjoyed the book despite the large number of spelling and grammatical errors. The story is not intense but is refreshing. The hero is a village lad but for once, not the shining virtuous innocent boy that is prophesied to save the world as it usually is in fantasy. He also doesn't need to wait till the penultimate book of the series to realize his powers. Some of the scenes can feel vulgar but I found it just added to the novelty and humor.

Wish the book was longer, and even if the author didn't have an editor, most of the typos could have been easily corrected with a re-read.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Not a bad story, but,... the hero was kindof a "Gary Stu" in a "dead pool" way - The hero was sarcastic all of the time and rarely did anything wrong. He was also able to counter insurmountable odds because his special ability made his other natural abilities supernatural.
